A note[edit]

I wanted to add a copy of this info here as I do not have the time to integrate it into the article now.

The following info is about the cyclophorid genera Ditropis, Ditropopsis, and two other somewhat similar genus names, one from the same family, and one from the family Assimineidae.

According to Nomenclator Zoologicus, both names are recognized :
  • Ditropis Blanford 1869 J. Asiat. Soc. Bengal, 38, 126.
  • Ditropopsis Smith 1897 Ann. Mag. nat. Hist., (6) 20, 416. (see: Discover Life)
Based on the root "Ditropis", there is also :
