Comment

The territory is under temporary UN administration, as ruled in the Resolution 1244 (1999), adopted by the United Nations Security Council on 10 June 1999[1], where the UN reafirmed its commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (and its sucessor state, the Union of Serbia and Montenegro, after the country changed its name). Therefore, it is not up to the UN to invent new geographical denominations. I also like to remind you that this is English language wikipedia, so please make sure your contributions are up to standard regarding syntax and spelling, together with the use of commonly recognised geographic denominations. Merger proposal

I think, we should merge District of Kosovska Mitrovica and Kosovska Mitrovica District (Serbia), because we don't have different District of Kosovska Mitrovica of Republic of Kosovo and Kosovska Mitrovica District of Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija of Serbia. They are the same, because they have identical borders and administrative divisions. We have only one object consider to: District of Kosovska Mitrovica (or Kosovska Mitrovica District) of Kosovo, which is the same in Republic of Kosovo and Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija of Serbia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dinamik (talkcontribs) 16:11, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

  • Support Whatever the constitutional status of Kosovo, the district has remained the same, and should therefore be considered in a single article. Skinsmoke (talk) 10:51, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
  • Strong Oppose Those two have very different borders and administrative divisions. One is by Serbia, one by Republic of Kosovo. Those two are separated by consensus, and another consensus is needed to merge ALL other districts, not just this one. This small merge proposal cannot undo entire consensus agreements on wiki. --Tadijaspeaks 16:58, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Mitrovica Region article seems to be more developed than District of Kosovska Mitrovica. Λeternus (talk) 13:46, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

I share the same thought - Mitrovica Region should be kept and the District of Kosovska Mitrovica integrated in it if need be.--Atdheu (talk) 02:48, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
Done. Not much needed merging. I moved the old page history of District of Kosovska Mitrovica to Mitrovica District. – Fayenatic London 11:29, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

  • Pinging IJA, Aeternus, and Stepojevac in hopes that one of them will do any rewriting necessary to cleanup after the move. I'll fix double redirects and the like. --BDD (talk) 22:07, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
