Question[edit]

Nice map! By any chance do you have one where these raions are labelled? I'm doing a world demographic database and I'm on Central Asia.

That's the hard part. I don't speak Turkmen, and my resources don't have labels. I will try to work with Statoids, as he has a list of the raions there (and can match up with capital city location). I'll keep you informed. Right now I am finishing up 2nd-level for Japan. Rarelibra 12:45, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Update of Districts[edit]

The following list of boroughs for Ashgabat is obsolete and has been updated in the main article; I am copying it here for ease of retrieval by researchers:

The following list of districts for Balkan Province is obsolete and has been updated in the main article:

The following Ahal Province district has been abolished, and the Ahal list of districts updated:

Note also that several old names have been restored. In Ahal, Büzmeýin and Bäherden are back; in Lebap, Kerki is back, and so on. Please refer to the inline references before trying to restore names that were used for a few years but have now been deprecated.

Dashoguz and Mary were up to date but I brought them into format conformity with the rest of the list. Amustard (talk) 20:23, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
