Fate[edit]

He is mentioned in the German wikipedia article on his better known brother. It gives his death date as 22 May 1944 and states (without citation) he was killed at Battle of Monte Cassino in WWII. He has a stub article in Italian wikipedia which gives his death place as the town of Casamari, presumably in vicinity of Cassino. UPDATE - Found answer to own question - he is listed by the Volksbund as missing in action and commemorated at Cassino German War Cemetery. I have introduced the information with citation from German wikipedia.Cloptonson (talk) 08:16, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
