I don't know who these people are, but given the significance and prominance of the claim "rated US education as 14th best in the world, just behind Russia" in the article, I was quite surprised to visit their website and find out that some countries in the world like Cuba are excluded from their database. Is their a more comprehensive or definitive source? Mighty Antar (talk) 18:32, 12 March 2018 (UTC)

6.6.1

In section 6.6.1, the article does not mention the fact that students were severely punished in American state schools for many years if they spoke any language but English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.54.203.27 (talk) 07:23, 17 May 2018 (UTC) See http://www.nmai.si.edu/education/codetalkers/html/chapter3.html . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.54.203.27 (talk) 07:28, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

Post-war guilt could be mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.54.203.27 (talk) 07:40, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

Contribution to the page

Greetings everyone, wanted to let you know that I added a subheading to the K-12 section discussing grade placement. I also added a subheading to the Issues section discussing immigrant students and grade placement issues. If there are any changes you would like for me to make, or ways to improve these additions feel free to let me know. Thank you. Vanessa Atempa (talk) 00:04, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

Structure changes

I've made some significant changes to the article's heading structure. I've also removed a few sections that seem to be promoting recent events unduly. Please ping me if you have major concerns. power~enwiki (π, ν) 20:13, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
