Click on User:Wiki82esh/sandbox, which will take you to Eli Schechtman, which will have a line underneath the article title saying "(Redirected from User:Wiki82esh/sandbox)". As you are editing as an IP, you won't get a notification about this message, but I hope you are watching this page. This may be why you did not receive an answer. Or perhaps you are really User:Wiki82esh and thus will get a notification.

The photos were deleted because they were improperly licensed. I don't think you will be able to get them back. If you were the uploader, you presumably still have copies. — jmcgnh^{(talk) (contribs)} 22:39, 22 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

More exactly, the photos will not meet the licensing requirements of Commons--they are not free content,and you do not own them to donate the license to WP. But photos can also be uploaded to the English Wikipedia , and we accept material based only on fair use in a very limited number of situations. One of them is an image of a book cover to illustrate an article about a book. See Wikipedia:Non-free content, section 7.3.1, cover art. Strictly speaking, they canot be used to illustrate the article about the author--see footnote 1 on that page. You may need to make articles on the individual books, or you might try to argue that the article on theauthor is thecombinedarticle on the books. DGG ( talk ) 19:42, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Follow the link above to the deletion request. The problem appears to be that you have tagged them as your own work - some of them appear to be historical photographs, going back to the first half of the last century, are you genuinely asserting that you took them yourself? Scanning an existing photograph does not make it your own work - who was the photographers, where were they originally published? GirthSummit _(blether) 15:35, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Wiki82esh: The problems with your photos need to be dealt with on Wikimedia Commons; see your talk page there at c:User talk:Wiki82esh. If these were photos you took yourself, there should be a way to get the licensing straightened out, at least for some of them. But it's on Commons, not here.
