Untitled[edit]

Kind of weird, someone messed with the chart page - and made everything go under the 2005 year, when only Germany's chart position was in he 2005 year. Whoever did that was on drugs...

Wth.. Why is Cascada mentioned FIRST in this article? All they did was a rape a good song and badly.. I reckon nobody feels bad if this article is modified to mention the Maggie Reilly's version first and mention the cover-ish Cascada song after it.. Yeah, I know, it's just my opinion but isn't it traditionally done so in Wikipedia that the former recordings are mentioned first?--88.115.245.243 17:32, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not even as if Cascada was the first one to remake it, either. Tixiana and Lacara both had versions of the song (that kept all of the original lyrics) before Cascada's came out. 12.42.50.52 18:17, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The thing is, the Cascada version is the most popular. It's more likely people are searching for info about the Cascada version when they search for this song. 24.218.65.219 21:39, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wooooot? I reached this article from Maggie Reilly , and I was very amazed to see this. I listen to the radio, I go to discos and I have NEVER heard of "Cascada" or this cover version. I think this song is considered somewhat a classic - at least in my country - and to overwrite it with a promotion for some one-hit-wonder is quite shameless... Well, it isn't like Cascada totally took the song, they just borrowed the chorus. It isn't like that has ever happened before, I mean the Gym Class Heroes in Cupid's Chokehold stole that chorus for their song too. Anyways if you really care about Maggie Reiley, she did give consent to use the chorus. She gets royalties too. Tylerhuyser 22:15, 12 May 2007 (UTC) T.H.[reply]

I think all this advertising garbage needs an edit. My first question, when I saw this article, was: "Who the .... is Cascada?" Even if Maggie Reilly gave her consent to a cover version... it still is a cover version. Cascada are neither the authors nor the original performers. This is not about who is getting royalties, but about giving righteous credit (and not stealing the fame of others). Wikipedia is a place for information, not for promotion. --62.47.4.138 16:48, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well I edited the damn article and yeah I quite much butt-assaulted the Cascada part of the song. Sue me or revert it to the last version, I just had to do this because as said above, the article was more like a commercial for Cascada than an impartial review on the song in question. --Petrim 21:01, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I just reverted the article to Petrim's version. If anyone wants to see what this article should look like, take a loot at Paint it black. That song was covered by almost any artist on earth. Still, the article gives credit to the original performers. BTW... I did a coverversion of "Paint it black" which was quite popular. Am I allowed to extinguish the Stones from that article now? And to claim the song as mine? I am really a bit surprised, to see a wikipedia-administrator revert an article back to advertising and plain false information, without even giving an explanation! --62.47.13.233 12:16, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I feel that, because Cascada's "Everytime We Touch" is a different song (only the chorus is the same), it should have its own article. However I'm not going to create one, I'll leave it up to someone else if they want to. I suggest it be located at Everytime We Touch (Cascada song). I don't think the article should have been changed to a different song, it should have been moved and then the resulting redirect changed to this article. — AnemoneProjectors (zomg!) 21:35, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and did it anyway, I split the page history into two new articles. The Cascada one probably needs cleanup now. — AnemoneProjectors (zomg!) 21:52, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Having heard both songs I would object to Cascada's work beeing more then just a coverversion. Therefore I would rather have one page, naming the original artist and then giving (even very detailed) information about the coverversion. Nevertheless, having the two pages seems an acceptable compromise.--62.47.8.78 08:51, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Although the song got its own article, I also felt it was little more than "advertising garbage". It's ridiculous, the article barely mentions that this is basically an irrelevant trivial cover of a well-known Maggie Reilly song. Quite obvious far off any encyclopaedic standards. --79.200.48.97 (talk) 23:18, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gerne of Cascada Cover[edit]

There is Trance written as genre. I don't think that the genre is trance. Maybe it's Eurodance, but on de.wikipedia there is a more specific genre for it: Hands Up. I'm afraid the article for this genre doesn't exist on en.wikipedia.
--D-Kuru (talk) 00:14, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the genre from Trance to Eurodance. This is not a trance song at all. -Dreamer2go 01:01, 04 January 2008 (+8 GMT)

Merge with Maggie Reilly's Everytime We Touch[edit]

How come with other covers there's always a request to have it merged with the original, but not here? They should merge it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.149.53.238 (talk) 04:11, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
