Gardiner Speirs also played for Ross County during the 1990s. I have a feeling that this may have been before the club's admission into the SFL, but I definitely remember watching him play in several home games. At the time there was a strong rumour among the fans that he had somehow brought unrest to the dressing room. He seemed a strong and sturdy midfield battler but perhaps there was a grain of truth in those rumours as he was eventually shown the door by then manager Bobby Wilson. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.224.40.204 (talk) 10:21, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
