George Sage → George Sage (footballer) – Between the 19th century footballer and the 19th century federal judge (not to mention the similarly named physicist), it seems unlikely that there is a true primary topic here. Don't believe you are missing anything. A player in what was effectively a 'works' team in the infancy of pro football in East London. Seems to have had two 'documented' seasons and not much is known after 1897.--Egghead06 (talk) 18:54, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Photo[edit]

I've taken the photo off as it now transpires that this is probably Fred Chamberlain. The lineup for the first TIW team photo was originally published in Iron in the Blood and has been widely reproduced. However, John Powles (the author) has done further research in the intervening years and has revised the line-up. This can be seen on Steve Marsh's site, at http://www.whu-programmes.co.uk/season-1895-96/4551432917.
