There's an inconsistency in the text - foundation date is suggested to be 1797, but also "as early as 1794". Can someone resolve it? Apologetic22 (talk) 18:18, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I was on a tour of the place yesterday. It was explained that the oldest records are dated 1797, but those records seem to make mention of a previously existing distillery (perhaps an illegal one), so maybe that gives the estimated 1794 date. The malting barn (recently bought back into use after years of buying in pre-malted barley) in particular seems to be older than the official age of the distillery. 109.249.179.147 (talk) 14:51, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
