Accuracy?[edit]

If anyone is considering a "Factual Accuracy" tag, I won't object. Every source tells the story in a slightly different way. (Or not so slightly...check out the blog that calls him a "vampire"; it's amusingly over-the-top) My references are the sites that seem to have done the best research and generally avoid sensationalism. It's worth noting, however, that none of the sources (on Knoche or Lander) express any serious doubts about the truthfulness of the Lander anecdote...and it's obviously just a story. Dr. Knoche and observations of light pillars above the Andes mountains.[edit]

On page 95 of William R. Corliss's book Lightning, Auroras, Nocturnal Lights, and related luminous phenomena (The Sourcebook Project, 1982) there is something to read about the light pillars above the Andes mountains, and related observations from a certain "Dr. Knoche". Was this "Dr. Knoche" the same as the one in this Wikipedia article? (Gottfried Knoche). DannyCaes (talk) 08:50, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
