The earliest period of Haddenham's history is shown by archaeological reports by Grassam to be the Bronze Age, he notes he presence at the village in Bronze Age barrows; similarly continuity is shown into the Iron Age by White's archaeological reports,with Iron Age features like ditches and possible roundhouses noted. The most notable piece of Haddenham's history is noted by Bray and Robinson who described the discover of Anglo Saxon burials at the local Three Kings pub, this coupled wth historical records of a saxon ecclesiatical manor suggesting Haddeenham was a settlement in Saxon times. Also Whittaker's archaeological reports record 18th century pits in Haddenham; the most recent historical significance for Haddenham being it's Bombing Decoy. This decoy was recorded as A K (day) and Q (night) type decoy to divert bombing away from Bomber Commands nearby airfields in the Second World War. This feature is shown by local reports from Salmons and Finch's archaeological report indicating hutting on the former site to the North of Haddenham.

With a little more work, this text can be added back.

  • Properly cite all reliable sources and pay attention to spelling (e.g. saxon is Saxon, ecclesiatical is ecclesiastical, wth and he should be with and the but these are probably typographical errors) and grammar (18th century used adjectively is 18th-century, and say what—"... roundhouses noted. The most notable piece of Haddenham's history is noted ..."? Perhaps use a Thesuarus?)
  • To cite a source, get the details of the source and follow this tutorial: Wikipedia:Tutorial/Citing sources. It is standard practice on Wikipedia to use the citation style present in an article (if there is one) rather than choosing your own favoured style.
  • Old-English or foreign words should be italicised thus Haddeenham should be Haddeenham by adding two single quotation marks either side of the word like this: ''Haddeenham''.
  • You should check Wikipedia for existing articles and "Wikilink" where appropriate. For example [[Bronze Age]] giving Bronze Age, [[Tumulus|Barrow]] giving Barrow. Be careful. Sometimes a Wikilink leads to an article listing other articles (called a disambiguation on Wikipedia) such as Roundhouse where in your case you should link to [[Roundhouse_(dwelling)|]] giving Roundhouse
