hi! haggar was the company that invented the word "slacks", among other important "firsts" in the apparel industry. thanks!Tiffanyyeager (talk) 18:28, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haggar Clothing is a notable company, but the current article is written like marketing copy. Wikipedia articles must be written from a neutral point of view. Also, this article cannot be based just on what Haggar says about itself. It should cite independent reliable sources. Therefore, I am rewriting the article as a stub. • Gene93k (talk) 15:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

there should be mention of the brand's appearance in season 2 of Frisky Dingo —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.211.237.140 (talk) 20:31, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Noted. I'll see about working it in. I'm looking for high quality references to use for citations. • Gene93k (talk) 21:25, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Slacks[edit]

The article includes an unsourced assertion that Haggar coined the term "slacks" for casual pants, but the article for slacks has a source that disproves this. I'm removing the claim. SixFourThree (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:56, 25 August 2015
