WP:ASTONISH, DAB from Hatter, Hatting, Denmark and Hatting, Upper Austria [1]. Comma disambiguation is correct when the higher diversion isn't part of the name per WP:COMMADIS, unlike what some argued at Talk:Hatting, Denmark#Requested move the comma makes it clear that it would normally be referred to as "Hatting", if it was part of the name we would use "Hatting Denmark" (or in this case Hatting Tyrol) which would clearly be incorrect. • Support but what do you intend to do with Hatting (disambiguation)? In ictu oculi (talk) 21:16, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've changed this to a multi move to put the DAB at the base name, but I welcome suggestions for if Hatmaking is primary. A Google search returns the dictionary definition and the 2 places are given on the right as suggestions. A Google Book search returns more results for Hatmaking. This Hatting has a population of 1,395, with the Danish one having 1,588, however the Danish one looks less notable, having an article on 3 WPs, compared to 22 for Tyrol. Sounds good "hatting is" and "hatting was" would tend to suggest the primary topic of hatting is hatmaking, however it clearly isn't a district of 1,300 people in Austria. 238 daily views for hatmaking and 3 for Hatting, Austria show that the degree of difference. • Oppose. The Tyrol Hatting is the primary topic, marginally (daily average 3 while the Denmark one is 2), but that's enough per WP:2DABPRIMARY. As to Hatting being used to search for Hatmaking, and thus being a use here to be considered, I don't see any evidence for that. In any case a hatnote to that as well as to the other village named Hatting on each of the two Hatting village articles is more than sufficient to handle all that quite well. --В²C 00:23, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think this is a good 2DABPRIMARY considering the G Books search and the principal of least astonishment. Crouch, Swale (talk) 14:23, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the page views argument against the move is unconvincing; at 3 per day it's fair to say there is no primary topic as mistakes could easily account for the difference. Moving the DAB to primary (as there are 3 plausible topics) seems correct. power~enwiki (π, ν) 01:37, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I would note the it was originally a redirect to Hatter. Crouch, Swale (talk) 12:07, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
