New Source[edit]

The German Historical Institute in Washington, DC has published a short biographical article on Henry Timken that can be found here: http://www.immigrantentrepreneurship.org/entry.php?rec=28 Immigrantentrep (talk) 16:06, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction - fortune[edit]

Just a note after coming from the Tapered roller bearing article, that it contradicts this one on how Henry Timken made his fortune. That article currently says "At the time, Timken was a carriage-maker in St. Louis and held three patents for carriage springs. However, it was his patent for tapered roller bearings that allowed his company to become successful.". This article has it the other way around.

Also the comment "even space shuttle landing wheels" seems a bit obscure/obvious. Maybe the intention was to state that it uses tapered roller bearings that directly descend from Timken's design? Adx (talk) 22:24, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
