There might have been a slip-up somewhere here; this is what SWP, 1881, p.260 say about Huj: "A small mud village on flat ground. It has a well some 200 feet deep. It is named from Nebi Huj."
And this is what Khalidi write, sourced to SWP, III:260: "In the late nineteeth century, Huj had a rectangular layout and adobe brick structures."
Hmmm; methinks there has been a small mixup somewhere...Regards, Huldra (talk) 01:04, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I say we go with the original source, the SWP. Khalidi must have made a mistake. --Al Ameer son (talk) 02:28, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, will do.Huldra (talk) 02:41, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously, User:OtterAM, fine, that you are following me around, but please don't start moving article WITHOUT any discussion! This is highly disruptive.
We usually use the district the village was in, when we name these villages. There were many villages with the same name! See eg
..therefore using the district to distinguish them is the most practical, Huldra (talk) 21:46, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OK, User:OtterAM have now put a POV label on the article, with the comment: "The name of the town could suggest that it is in the Gaza strip, while in reality the area is within the 1949 Green Line. Other titles could be more clear." On his talk page he has suggested that he will start a RfC about the name of these articles. Fine, but remember that such a RfC would probably also concern other articles, e.g. such as the ones mentioned in Mansura, Haditha (disambiguation), Taybeh (disambiguation), Al-Jalama and Tira. IF there is no RFC about this started in the near future, (a week or three), I will remove the label. Huldra (talk) 22:28, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I have removed the label, as there seem to be no more discussion about it, Huldra (talk) 20:09, 30 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
