Colour of white people

"During slavery"
What does "during slavery" actually mean? Slavery is not a period of time, as "during" would imply. I suggest this phrase be amended, but I don't really have a suggestion for how. Victor Engel (talk) 21:52, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
