Light Skin origins section

Hello, I have a question/concern about the section entitled "Light Skin", broken up by KITLG and ASIP. Under the first, it discusses "African", "European", "Asian" groups. Under the second subheading, it discusses "Caucasian", "African-American", "South and East Asian", "Hispanic", and "Native American". I am concerned about the impreciseness about using "Caucasian" and "Hispanic" in this latter group; it seems that in the former, with the exception of the discussion of African-Americans with West African and European heritage, the primary discussion group was centered around continental people. But suddenly in the second group, it is broken into ethnic groups. To be more specific, it is not clear whether the discussion of Caucasians is about people from the caucuses or just as a catch-all for white people, and the use of Hispanic is extremely vague. Do they mean to include people from Spain, who would have fallen under the European discussion, or do they mean South American and Caribbean peoples? If so, why not call them South American? And why the distinguishment between South and East Asian in the second group but not in the first?
