Is there a reason from the IHF why no Oceania team has ever participated in this competition? Its difficult to nurture a region which is starving for good International competition if you don't start at the youth. NigelPorter (talk) 00:22, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oceania really only have themselves to blame NigelPorter. When you consider that they have only had two Oceania Youth Handball Championship regional finals. The first with two nations in 2009. And the second only last year, this time with six. So things will look brighter from now on. Both times the winner was New Caledonia which is technically part of France. Hopefully a team can also travel to the new Youth IHF Inter-Continental Trophy giving them good International competition.--Bjcook (talk) 21:04, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
