Explanation of Bias

This article is biased in favor of allowing inventive spelling in education. It is a controversial topic. The practice is endorsed by educational progressives, but considered by traditionalists to seriously hinder learning. Greta Hoostal (talk) 07:01, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the piece is biased. I also have concern that it is does not start out by explaining what the concept is and why it has come about. Even reading the whole thing did not really help me learn.

I, too, agree that the article is biased, but in opposition to inventive spelling. The line "There appears to be a desperate but unsuccessful search for utility of invented spelling data" is nothing more than a weasel-worded jab at proponents of the concept and adds precisely nothing to the article. This article should accordingly be tagged as having a disputed NPOV. 71.80.226.88 (talk) 03:28, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You ask about importance - in that I came here trying to learn, I think it is important!
