Modifications in the article of José Ignacio Salafranca[edit]

Dear people from Wikipedia:

There are some changes that I have been trying to do in the article of José Ignacio Salafranca due to some reasons:

Main picture: I would like to change the picture for another one that is the same used in his Spanish article, it is not a big change but Mr. Salafranca would like that picture instead the one that appears nowadays. I do not think that it is creating a conflict of interests.

Member of the European Parliament 2017-present: I would like to edit two new committees that has been assigned to him: Foreign Affairs and International Trade, here you can find that these additions are justified: http://www.europarl.europa.eu/meps/en/2002/JOSE+IGNACIO_SALAFRANCA+SANCHEZ-NEYRA_home.html As you may see it is his new profile in the website of the European Parliament, so these changes are adjusting to the new realities.

Political positions: "During a plenary session of the European Parliament, Salafranca Sánchez-Neyra orally introduced an amendment to promote the Brazilian resolution on sexual identity and sexual orientation, which aims to secure equal rights for all people regardless of sexual orientation. The resolution also included amendments on abortion. Salafranca's amendment was accepted and the EPP voted in favor of the resolution." That part should be either erased or changed because it gives the idea that Mr. Salafranca is against abortion and there's no proof that justifies it. In this paragraph there's no justification for that test.

About the Russian blacklist, the ban has been removed so either that paragraph should be erased or updated, it can stay there but adding that the ban doesn't exist anymore which is the new reality.

Controversy: I do not think that there's a neutral content in this part of the article. The headline is called controversy when it is making a reference about the expenses of the Delegations of the European Parliament in 2012. In that article that word is not used at all so it is there in order to create controversy and it is attacking directly to the reputation of Mr. Salafranca. I understand that this is a neutral web so as it can't be used to glorify a person or entity it shouldn't be used either to question the integrity of that person, specially if we are talking about an article that was published 5 years ago and which is not attacking directly to Mr. Salafranca as that part is in this article is doing. I also don't understand why although other people appear in this article of Politico, Mr. Salafranca is the only one registered in Wikipedia. That make me think that it has been used in purpose as an attack to him.

For all these reasons exposed I would like to request to Wikipedia to update and do the necessary changes in order to make a neutral article of José Ignacio Salafranca. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.173.162.129 (talk) 09:02, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Noting for the record that on my talk page you said Mr. Salafranca had "instructed" you to make changes to the article. You have a conflict of interest and therefore should refrain from editing the article. This doesn't mean that your proposed changes might not be worthwhile.
