- It's not "fine" if it's not accurate, and even both of those sources put the word "inventor" in quote marks for a reason. Also, despite the headlines, both articles clearly state that he was not considered the inventor of the döner kebab (the rotating grilled meat, sliced with a sword, a centuries-old Turkish delicacy) but only of the idea of serving it in a sandwich. And even that has been largely debunked by other sources, and by Nurman's own statements. I've expanded the article to give a more neutral point of view, with additional citations.
