Sourcing + tone/pov for massacre[edit]

We should use mainline, top notch, preferably English language (as they do exist in quite some quantity), sources for the massacre - and avoid questionable sources. Furthermore, I'd like to note that portraying the massacre (as done in this diff) as a "massacre of Polish civilians" is problematic as there were non-Polish civilians there as well (Belorussians) and due to the presence of an armed "self defense" group. Furthermore stating that the attacking party were "Jewish partisans" is problematic given that the majority of the attacking force was not Jewish.Icewhiz (talk) 11:38, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Woman and children are not civilians Icewhiz?GizzyCatBella (talk) 11:48, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Unarmed women and children are certainly civilians. Armed men (and women) are often not regarded as civilians, particularly not when they are part of a "self defense" unit. The sources describe a massacre of civilians as well as non-civilians.Icewhiz (talk) 11:52, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote "as well". To clarify - Not all the villagers were Polish (many were), and not all of them are accurately described as civilians (e.g. - armed members of the self-defense unit). Thus, stating in our voice "massacre of Polish civilians" is inaccurate (though certainly some of the dead were Polish civilians).Icewhiz (talk) 11:59, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
