Jealous of Hooper's job?[edit]

Some years ago, I read that Kathryn Lindskoog had herself attempted to get the job which was ultimately given to Walter Hooper. It seemed clear that jealousy was a large motivation in her attacks against him. I'll try to find references before including that in artcle, though. -- Mecandes 15:21, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proofs?[edit]

The link for Gersham's quote points to a Narnia fan site and the quote can not be found there. Gersham himself would have issues with Lindksoog's portrayal of his mother, Joy. Also, Lewis wrote by longhand using a fountain pen. Any typewritten work from him could either be someone typing up what he wrote OR a forgery. In other words, recently discovered typewritten stuff from Lewis proving Dark Tower etc is no proof at all. The many verifiable claims Lindskoog made against Hooper have not been addressed. Lindskoog's academics creds[edit]

Try as I might, I cannot seem to locate a source that has Ms. Lindskoog's academic credentials. Did she go to college? Any help with this would be much appreciated.Deyyaz [ Talk | Contribs ] 03:32, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Her earliest work listed in the Library of Congress online catalog may be a PhD dissertation. Its title, and its appearance a few years before other works in this listing (LC Online Catalog search results) both suggest to me a dissertation.
  • Lion of Judah in never-never land; the theology of C. S. Lewis expressed in his fantasies for children (1973) PR6023.E926 Z78
The catalog records were served early last hour, when I added "LCCN" links for four of the six C.S. Lewis titles that we previously listed here. Service then broke, but I continued to add listings in the newly-fashioned three-part section 2, Selected works --working from the search results alone.
Mercer University Press is the publisher of both 2001 books, previously the first two in a short titles-only list on this page. --P64 (talk) 19:13, 17 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Her official website (2003) "Biography" identifies M.A. 1957, California State University, Long Beach and links her M.A. thesis, "The Lion of Judah in Never-Never Land"; published 1973 by Eerdmans with preface by Walter Hooper.

P.S. For all the fuss about later works, her M.A. thesis The Lion of Judah in Never-Never Land is her work most widely held in WorldCat libraries. See Lindskoog and Lion of Judah formats and editions at WorldCat. --P64 (talk) 19:45, 17 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In the WPBIO banner above, I reallocated her from science-and-academia to arts-and-entertainment. --P64 (talk) 19:51, 17 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
