Change number of billionaires in Germany from 114 to 146, because the data is outdated (change 2017 to 2019), placing it in 3rd rank. This is according to several reliable sources such as Business Insider, CNBC, WealthX Census Analysis and Statista. See links below:

Would you be open to updating the top 10 countries in the list to 2020 numbers using this link which is current as of 18 MAR 2020? The rest of the list would then be updated to 2019 numbers using your references? Doghouse09 (talk) 03:06, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
 Partly done: I updated the top 10 with the source provided by Doghouse09. This resulted in Germany now being ranked #3, satisfying that part of Bw1707’s original request. Proposal to add percentage of world population to sortable wikitable

This seems like potentially important information to express in the table as it highlights the discrepancy between where the world population is situated and where the billionaires are situated, although I also recognise it might be a little too off-topic for this article to be placed in something so central to the article. Proposal to add percentage of country population to sortable wikitable

The reason I think this is important is that the absolute numbers have little information content when not adjusted for the size of the country. For example, there is a belief that most billionaires live in the US or in China. In absolute numbers, yes, but in relative numbers, no. The data also doesn't show to what extent billionaires reside in tax havens. The population data is also available on Wikipedia. We even have comments in the talk page where people are apparently confused by this, such as "China has more billionaires than the US??" This is similar to reporting absolute number of deaths for COVID-19 without deaths per 100k. Correct, but quite meaningless IMO. I added this column, but it was removed as "original research". I think dividing one data point from Wikipedia by another data point from Wikipedia probably shouldn't be original research, but I might be wrong.
