This list is very incomplete and include institute dedicated to marine science (OK) and some very general like universities (not OK). I think this page should be curated to keep only the "dedicated institutes". Ago sylvain (talk) 08:57, 17 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Major update for consistent formatting (March 2022)[edit]

Hello, I am updating this page to include consistent formatting and working links to webpages. I have curated in the sense that I have deleted universities at which I could not find a dedicated program for oceanographic research, such as a center, department, institute, field station, etc. When a country had many programs, such as India and the United States, I broke it up into national programs run by the government vs. departments/centers at universities.
