Include Germany in Project[edit]

A good half of these counts are "German" counts (with German territories). Auntieruth55 (talk) 18:42, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please recall that Austria was part of the German Confederation until 1864. And that most of what is now Germany was part ofthe Holy Roman Empire ruled by the Habsburgs until 1806. Also that there was no "Germany" per se until 1871.70.243.142.36 (talk) 20:16, 3 November 2009 (UTC)Pastor R[reply]

Counts? This is list of princes.--Yopie (talk) 19:04, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
yes, these were Fürsten, which is a title and a social distinction, and many of the families had Comital status in the A-H empire and the Holy Roman Empire. Auntieruth55 (talk) 14:48, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
