Olsztyn Jewish burial house[edit]

This list appears not to have the 'Mendelsohn House' in Olsztyn, Poland (Allenstein). This was the burial house at the Jewish cemetery, allegedly one of his earliest projects. http://dommendelsohna.wordpress.com/

http://archiwum.um.olsztyn.pl/en/01_historia_miasta/03_postacie/index3.html He passed his maturity exam in 1907, just when the first electric lamps appeared in streets and when the first tramway made its way through Olsztyn. He was excused from taking the oral examination and soon went on to university. Even before that he had been asked by the Jewish commune of Olsztyn to design "a house of absolution", i.e. a chapel at the local Jewish cemetery, together with a dwelling part. That academic project, supervised by Erich himself, was erected in 1913. In 1998, on the elevation of that very building, located at today's Zyndrama z Maszkowic Street, a commemoration plate was unveiled. (87.245.25.120 (talk) 13:00, 4 February 2009 (UTC))[reply]
