Should this include his poetry as well? john k 20:40, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yet another crucifix[edit]

...has been attributed to M., see here --Ghirla-трёп- 08:06, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That attribution of the 'Gallino Crucifix' to Michelangelo have been reversed. The Bargello describes it as such "In 2008, the Italian government acquired this work with an attribution to Michelangelo Buonarotti. After further in-depth studies, the 'Crucified Christ', has been referred to an anyonmous woodcarver, active in Florence at the beginning of the sixteen century, who ran a workshop specialized in these types of sculptures. Other crucifixes by JGA;LGHQ PGKSANQP]GKFLNG[QLF;NA;LE]AKG;wng poq;rik;hj;TN'this master or by his assistants can be found in French museums (Louvre and Rouen), in some churches nearby Florence, as well as in private collections" --Math2000 (talk) 02:19, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Attribution[edit]

Given that there is a really solid body of known works, it's not acceptable to show attributed works about which there has been considerable dispute, or works that are very recently attributed and don't have much standing, as if they were bonafide Michelangelo's. The "Young Archer" really does not stand up under close scrutiny, and although the Palestrina Pieta has been exhibited by the Academia as a Michelangelo for years, its source has been shown to be an engraving. It's a blatant pastiche.

As for the Manchester Madonna, well, it does indeed has some characteristics that are suggestive of Michelangelo, but only enough to convince those who want to be convinced.

Poetry[edit]

What about poetry ? Michelangelo wrote many poems, this should be included. 89.201.183.14 (talk) 20:51, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What do you know about Michelangelo's poetry? I don't know enough to write about this. Wikipedi needs a whole article on it. Amandajm (talk) 00:30, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Another Risen Christ[edit]

Should we add this one Risen Christ to list of attributed sculptures? Arthistorian1977 (talk) 04:56, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Gallery instead of Tables[edit]

It would be better to put pictures in gallery format. Tables are better for text. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marino108LFS (talkcontribs) 21:18, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. Tables are sortable by various columns. Galleries are not. Also, there are images for each entry in the table. Normal Op (talk) 18:22, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
