Yikes[edit]

Lor Tok was described as short and dark skinned, with black hair and often sported a pencil moustache. Nonetheless his good humor won him an admirer in Somjit, a statuesque actress, model and beauty contest winner.

Emphasis added. The implications about short, dark-skinned, black-haired, and the mustachioed are less than flattering, to put it mildly.

In Thai culture, those attributes aren't considered physically attractive (except for the moustache, which is a touch of distinction). Unfortunately, this bias is inherent in the source for the article and I regrettably allowed that bias to creep into the article. The nonetheless has been removed. — WiseKwai 23:26, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
