Merger Proposal[edit]

Hmm, now, let's see if I can do this without being too patrionising.

Lowestoft College is not Lowestoft Sixth Form College. They're different organisations which happen to share a site and are, allegedly, going to try to co-operate a bit. We'll see about that (oh, rumours I hear suggest it's not going so well...). This source is clear that they will operate side by side rather than as one institution. So merging them is a silly idea and I formally oppose it.

There you go. If we could stop the deliberate gaming edits it'd help as well. Blue Square Thing (talk) 21:15, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

14-16 year olds and adult learners[edit]

Does anybody have a reference for the line "with the facilities to engage 14-16 year olds as well as adult learners."? I can't find anything that states this on the l6fc.org website, but didn't want to remove it without checking first. Ryublue (talk) 11:34, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm - my gut feeling is that this is the sixth form centre for the 4 high schools in Lowestoft, so it would be unlikely to be dealing with 14-16 year old learners. Lowestoft college does do so, but that's part of it's remit, whereas I'm really not sure if the Sixth Form College will do. Anyone else know anything? If not, I'd say be bold... Yes, unlike the Lowestoft College, the Sixth Form College does not have any provisions for adult learners. comment added by Sixthform (talk) 11:32, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional nature[edit]

Blimey. Haven't been to look at this article for ages. It's horribly promotional. I'm about to take my green pen to it. Feel free to re-add anything that can be verified by good quality third party reliable sources. Thanks. Blue Square Thing (talk) 19:27, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Change of Principal?[edit]

According to https://www.lowestoftsfc.ac.uk/about-us/principals-welcome/ (checked on 22nd Jan 2018) David Gartland is now the Principal. Dunno when this changed though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.185.182.35 (talk) 00:30, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
