I am going to do a little research. I don't think that Saint Maria Goretti's ever had a school.

There are many more notable former residents of the town, mostly Bruins and Celtics players. Do we want to try to list them all? (BTW, Yaz was definitely a resident of the town for some time)Capt3 (talk) 17:42, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Notable residents" section littered with Red Sox/Celtics/Bruins players[edit]

Whoever made that list should know that it is more for listing people who grew up in such and such a town and achieved fame after he/she was there (for example, people like Scott Brown and Buffy Sainte Marie are listed in Wakefield's list because they gained notoriety after living there in their youth. This list should not include, in my opinion, athletes who had already attained fame through their work and just happened to move to Lynnfield when they joined Boston teams because of reputation as the hotspot for athletes and other such famous/wealthy people in the Boston area.

2012 Presidential election[edit]

It seems the 2012 presidential election results that appeared on the Boston Globe for Halifax, Massachusetts were incorrect. If you go to the Halifax town website or the Massachusetts Secretary of State website, they point out that the race between Obama and Romney was much closer in Halifax with Romney receiving only 51% of the vote in that town. Based on this information, Romney had his best showing Lynnfield rather than Halifax. I am just going to remove the sentence detailing Romney receiving his 2nd best showing in Lynnfield unless anyone else has anything to say about the matter.
