Incorrect redirect[edit]

This article has been restored to its most coherent previous version to preserve the history of the page. It had been redirected to Yasuj because the editor felt the city's merger with that city would be best reflected this way, but Yasuj is neither synonymous with Madavan-e Olya as a village nor Madavan as a city. It would be consistent with other similar transformations in Iran that result in mergers to instead update the original article of the village or city (which will be done immediately after this note) to indicate that it is a Former Village or Former City, pointing to the previously existing city's arcticle into which the locality was legally merged.
