Malot" is a rular area in Islamabad. It is located near Bhara Kahu between Kuri and Simly Dam roads.

Population[edit]

The population of Malot is approximately 2000 to 3000.Majority of population is Muslim.

Languages[edit]

Different languages are spoken here which include Potohari,Hindko and Urdu.

Employment[edit]

Some people are mid level employs in Public or private organizations, but Most locals earn money through agriculture, livestock and farming. people are also connected to real state and property business.

Famous place[edit]

In Malot, there is a shrine of Baba Shair Sahah Mast Sarkar.Baba Shair Shah is known for his services for Islam. Muslims from different areas come and pray here.It is located almost in the middle of village.

Culture[edit]

Punjabi culture dominates this area. Basant and Eid festivals are celebrated.Different crops are cultivated here which include Wheat,Maize and Barley. Lok stories and poetry of this area has an important role in Punjabi and Potohari literature.
