Use of term "Cryptid"[edit]

Is the use of the term cryptid here appropriate? A cryptid is generally accepted to be an animal and not a humanoid. More pressingly, a folkloric/mythological species being termed a cryptid feels as inaccurate as using the word to describe gnomes, satyrs, or cyclopes. 2600:1011:B048:2CB1:95C9:857D:F631:EB6F (talk) 23:14, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
