LGBT citations[edit]

I'm confused by this diff. Clearly we need to be absolutely correct with these kinds of details in BLPs, but has this claim been seriously disputed anywhere? The claim is extremely well-supported. One of the citations removed was an official UK government report which says "Golubeva is Latvia's first openly lesbian (and second LGBT) minister". The Washington Post says "Golubeva is just the second openly gay politician in Latvia." Gay Community News (Dublin) ran this article citing Golubeva as an example of Lavia making history "By Electing Openly LGBT+ Politicians". A Latvian news site ran an article saying that Golubeva has been with her wife for 30 years, complete with a picture of the two of them. Even the corresponding page on the Latvian Wikipedia says "Marija Golubeva pēc Edgara Rinkēviča ir otrā atklātā LGBT kopienas Saeimas deputāte[10] un Latvijas ministre." Those sources add up to much more than "yellow press data". What reason is there to think they're all wrong? - Astrophobe (talk) 21:01, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
