Merge? Pot pie?[edit]

I cannot see the benefit of merging a culturally significant food with a geneic article, or rather with an article for an unrelated ethnic food. Alex Law 05:29, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

'England'[edit]

The list of counties where these pies are found in the infobox is correct. However, the article itself simply refers to 'England'. These pies are very regional and practically unknown south of Birmingham. Ef80 (talk) 12:19, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I live there? See https://www.theguardian.com/food/2020/nov/11/how-to-make-the-perfect-meat-and-potato-pie-recipe-felicity-cloake --Ef80 (talk) 15:48, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"I live there" is not a proper source. The recipe-piece is also not a reliable source for the statement. The Banner talk 15:54, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Although this is not a reliable source to back up any statemen regarding the regional spread, it gives reason for doubt about the statement. The Banner talk 16:06, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Did you actually read the Guardian article I linked to? The Guardian is WP:RS. You are completely mistaken if you think it's possible to buy meat and potato pies in supermarkets, markets and general bakeries south of the North Midlands. I only wish you could. Sometimes these ill informed WP interventions are a complete PITA. No more comments here from me, somebody else can fix it. --Ef80 (talk) 16:23, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
