I know it's been a while since this has come up but just to be sure: Megalyn Echikunwoke is not of Native American descent. I've changed this once before and it was changed back and then I had to change it again. Strangely, the link that was originally used to 'prove' her Native American heritage actually states explicitly that her father is Nigerian and her mother is a white American. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EttaLove (talk • contribs) 17:50, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In order for ethnicity and descent categories to be added to any biography article the categories must 1) be supported by reliably sourced article content that 2) demonstrates the individual identifies as such. Note that IMDb (as with other user-generated tertiary websites) does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria. Any addition of material that does not meet the policy regarding the use of such categories will be removed. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 18:35, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
And so where is the reliable source that she identifies as, or is of African-American heritage? MarshallMolasses (talk) 14:47, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If you have found a ethnicity of descent category that is unsupported then you can remove it.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:08, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
