What does Africa have to do with it?
Whether by "first comma" you mean the one after "1985," or maybe the one after "Brentwood," the short answer is that that's how it's done by educated people.
For 1985: "You should use a comma when you start a sentence with an introductory prepositional phrase. This is a phrase that gives you the time, location, or context for the rest of the sentence."
For Brentwood: "Anytime you use a geographical name that includes multiple elements, you should separate the elements with commas."
By the way, labels like "millennial" are fallacious, to begin with. They also tend to be rude and inflammatory. Somewhat the same could also be said about the use of the deity's name, especially shouted in all caps. And no, I'm not a millennial. Dgndenver (talk) 11:37, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think that source was poorly maintained; I've changed it to a more accurate (and secondary source).
