Just merged this page with Bipes biporus, which is now a redirect. They were mostly the same. The end. 68.83.10.206 (talk) 03:13, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article state the lizard only live 1 to 2 years, but do not start laying eggs until they are four. Inconsistent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.215.38.54 (talk) 21:53, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article says another name is "Ajolote", however, Ajolote is the Spanish name of the axolotl, which is a different animal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.199.10.69 (talk) 11:44, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ajolote[edit]

i removed ajolote from the intro sentence. its presence is contradicted by the third sentence in the intro.

initially i was worried i was going to have to resort to WP:OR,

and throw myself at the mercy of the court. if i was from mexico, i imagine that this might be WP:Common knowledge, especially as the axolotl's popularity has increased in recent years, and the school age kids learning about it in science class get older. it's hard finding information online in re the Bipes and ajolote confusion, as it looks like a lot of search results are people who've copied and pasted the incorrect wikipedia article.. and the rest are in spanish. but then i found these 2 sources:

i think this works?≈Sensorsweep (talk) 02:29, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
