Observations and suggestions for improvements[edit]

The following observations and suggestions for improvements were collected, following expert review of the article within the Science, Technology, Society and Wikipedia course at the Politecnico di Milano, in June 2022.

The article needs a strong revision to rephrase some paragraphs that now are not fluent in terms of construction. The overall style should be refined as well to match scientific writing. The introduction and motivation section needs a more systematic articulation, in line with an encyclopedic entry, while the last sentence of the conclusions is hardly understandable. The bibliographic apparatus is adequate, but the article needs a strong work of cross-referencing with other Wikipedia articles, such as the Miao People one (which is very well written and composed). The suggestion is to take reference from that page also in terms of style and writing, especially for the introduction and the conclusions, which are at the moment the weakest part of the article about Miao festivals.
