Q on Translation[edit]

Is the English title official in any way? If not, why was the term "graveyard" chosen, as opposed to "cemetery"? Boneyard90 (talk) 20:07, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As I recall, the naming of this one was a bit tricky (not just because of 武蔵陵墓地 (the whole complex) being distinct from 武藏野陵 (Hirohito's tomb) and the issue of inserting/transliterating "no" (の)); it seems various RS conflict/to me at least are unclear, and in the end I tried to vaguely follow "official" sites such as this Imperial Household Agency page, which seems to prefer "Imperial Graveyard", though I'm still not absolutely clear whether the "Musashino Imperial Graveyard" it mentions is referring to the complex or the tomb. Think Imperial Graveyard might have more google hits... Defer to you, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 07:53, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
