Name change[edit]

As per the Wikipedia naming conventions that articles be named in English, I am moving this article to My System (Book). --Malathion 07:19, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

And I'm moving it to My System; I don't see any need for the disambiguating "(Book)", since I can't think of any other articles which might reasonably have that name (if I'm wrong, and it is needed, then it ought to be with a lower case initial). --Camembert 13:04, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Reviving this old discussion, I suggest that the rename was wrong. It is the German edition (Mein System) of the book which is famous, more so than its English translation, so the German page title is probably to be prefered. For a precedent, consider Mein Kampf. I agree with Bubba73. This needs research, but in my recollection, My System is almost always used in English-language chess writing. Evidence to the contrary is welcomed. Otherwise the page should remain at its current title. Quale (talk) 17:06, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Needs reference to earlier/later works[edit]

Die Blockade, an earlier brochure which A.N. references frequently in My System. It was not available in an English translation for decades.

Chess Praxis: The Praxis of My System, a followup book which illustrated and expanded A.N.'s theories.

On another note, Raymond Keene's book, Aron Nimzowitsch: A Reappraisal (later retitled Aron Nimzowitsch - Master of Planning) has the transcript of an interview with Bent Larsen who repeatedly states that Nimzowitch's "system" is not a system at all. --72.70.22.170 (talk) 11:18, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
