Notability concerns[edit]

I've got strong concerns about the notability of this album. The main reason the article was created was to use the soundtrack image which couldn't be done on the film's page as the film's poster is adequate. A handful of brief reviews and just basic release references does not seem enough to meeting WP:NALBUMS. Ravensfire (talk) 14:18, 7 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ravensfire: The album is perfectly satisfying criteria 1 of WP:NALBUMS. Please try to have policy based arguments and list the policies which are being violated. @DBigXray: It is satisfying criteria 1 and 6 in their entirety. Was aired on multiple major national radios of India such as Radio Mirchi and other. I respect all the editors, all I'm asking him is to supply me with the policy or statement that this page is violating. I will wait for seven days, if he can't respond by that time then the {{notability}} tag from the page will be removed. If you too find anything wrong, then say so.

Can you please share the links for Policy#1. Please note The links should be about the album and not about the Movie October. Regarding #6 or #7 I think you are discounting the word "Substantial". Basically my understanding is if a song is super hit, it will be covered by a lot of news sites and you will get a lot of sources to easily satisfy notability. if 1 song is hit it will not mean the album is hit, The coverage should be of multiple songs in teh album or of the album itself. Harshrathod50 Please understand the WP:Notability is not established by posting a bundle of links. Even if there are 2-3 links but they clearly show that the album is widely important and deserves a seperate article to elaborate upon the album. Still have notability concerns. A couple of reviews which is basically just routine coverage tied to the release of the film. There's nothing to show that this soundtrack has any notability independent of the film, such as notable awards, national chart or other criteria in NALBUM. Yes, there are reviews - it's a film soundtrack. Shockingly, after a film release you get reviews of the film and the soundtrack. Right now, this should be part of the film article. The ONLY reason this article is around is because one editor wants the image of the soundtrack to show and since it's non-free, it can't appear on the film article. I can't see any reason not to start and AFD to merge this back to the film article. Simply put, nothing in the article demonstrates enough notability independent of the film. @Ravensfire: 2018 has not even finished its halfway run and you are already thinking that this album should have major awards with it. First let the award ceremonies commence then talk about awards. Is it mandatory that an album should not get reviews after being released, or because it happens with every album, or it should have pre-release reviews? Don't you see that there are full-featured reviews just on the soundtrack? I need citation for your statement. You say again and again that the only reason I made this article is because I wanted to use that image in the infobox. I don't care if it lives or dies on WP because I have the image embedded in all the songs of this album in my phone, and it appears everytime I play them. 😎 I made this article because this album did receive enough coverage in media, radio (I can't cite the charts because they don't release it on web just like Billboard does) and web. This article should still be part of the main film article and not split off prematurely as you did solely to get the soundtrack image included. If and only if there are mentions independent of the film should it be split off. The full reviews are routine coverage from the release of the film. User:Harshrathod50 please assume good faith User:Ravensfire is just sharing his observation (a personal opinion) You can state your disagreement with his "pic comment", story over. Even I dont agree to that opinion. Anyway, the topic of the discussion is not the pic but the WP:N of the article. As I have said before, We cannot have seperate article waiting for the album to win prizes in future. see WP:CRYSTAL which clearly states the same. if it really do get several awards and widespread coverage, we can get a seperate article for the album. (although I doubt it will get that widespread coverage) Anyway we are not here to speculate what will happen or not. User:Ravensfire, @Winged Blades of Godric: and myself believe this should get merged in the wider interest of the readers of the October movie article, who are currently missing this information. If you still disagree with our consensus, then we will agree to disagree and then move on to the next step of Consensus building via a WP:MERGE discussion or an WP:AFD. My argument: It is about the personnel section of this album. The reference they have provided goes nowhere outside but WP pages. According to me, those references there are redundant, so please why don't you go there and remove the entire section with the edit summary "trivia"? It will make sense there. hi Harsh, Your response to other editors are borderline WP:BATTLE mentality. Please understand that we are here to improve the wikipedia. Also understand that you do not WP:OWN it. When WBG or ME make a comment here it is more to do with the article quality and based on our experience. This condescending or insulting tone of comments will not get you a longway here. When I linked WP:NOTYELLOWPAGES it does not mean I am calling ur edit as directory, you took it quite literally. It was a link to the Wiki Policy that explains why an indiscriminate list of all the persons does not belong to encyclopedia. If a person is WP:Notable or his contribution is notable only then we can add it. Concur. Wikipedia articles shouldn't include every small detail about something. Compare to film articles, you don't see the full credit listing for a film. You cover the major credits. Answer me first. DBigXray, please list your questions in your next reply and I will answer in the same manner. I am also experienced here. My edits are purely inspired by other pages. Ranvensfire, is not the personnel section of that page trivia? I still don't understand why there are some nuisance editing practices in the Indian film articles. If you remember the matter with music parameter of infoboxes. The instructions say just to list score composers there, but no, major part of members in Indian Cinema WikiProject go against it. Kouthar Abrahams, is a singer/ songwriter who is about to release her very first album for Republic Records, she says that this album will be put on Spotify and other music apps very soon. She was born in Cape Town, on the 2 of October 2005 and is also a soccer player for her high school in Portlands, Mitchell's Plain. She says she can't wait to start singing with her boyfriend Geovanno Alfonso Isaacs in the studio with the producers and directors. She also says a few music videos will be recorded with him in it and will have a few visual effects added to it. Her boyfriend is supporting her and they will also be making a movie with the songs she has made in it.
