Page reworked. I did not mean to hit "save page" when I did, already noticing the incorrect format of the article. Sorry for the inconvenience. Lnglkcpx (talk) 03:48, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You need references from sources not directly related to this person (IE His group's website). The question here is more whether or not this person is notable enough to have an article on Wikipedia. See WP:NOTABILITY as well as WP:VERIFIABILITY. IIIVIX (Talk) 04:01, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the explanation! I have done some more research and have found two specific external sources both listing the presented background information. From what I understand of the procedure he is notable enough for recognition. Let me know if you have anymore thoughts or suggestions. Thank you Lnglkcpx (talk) 04:14, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm echoing the sentiment of User:The359 above; it seems as though Mr. Clapman has direct control of the material that's posted to the references, and that renders them non-reliable sources. Is there an external source not under his control that would be in connection with the award that's mentioned (The International Corporate Governance Award)? That would seem to be the best potential source of notability that I see. I would also be looking for third-party references that would let me assess the relative importance of this award. If it's given by his own organization, for instance, that would not be relevant. Accounting4Taste:talk 17:43, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The one you've added is exactly the kind of reference I was suggesting should be provided (the exact reference is to column 1 on page 2 for the 2005 award, in case anyone is as taken aback as I was by page 1's naming of the winner of the 2009 award). Thank you for the input and guidance on this! I'm happy I could correctly source the article. Lnglkcpx (talk) 22:12, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
