response from reviewing administrator[edit]

All the above is irrelevant at least in the English Wikipedia--are such criteria applied in the Russian or other versions? By our standards, this escapes speedy because in asserts notability as an author, which is all that is necessary for the purpose. But to b notable enough to stay in WP you must show he is considered notable, as verified by third party references in reliable published sources. This can include book reviews, or news items about him. See WP:BIO. DGG (talk) 10:32, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is he a Dr.? Is he a Rabbi?[edit]

PP is referred to as a Dr. and Rabbi (e.g. Machanaim). Is he? When / where did he get his doctorate / smicha? Karl Kuzmich (talk) 15:05, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As I can see in opened sources, Dr. Polonsky never obtained a formal rabbinic semicha of any origin Helgi87 (talk) 20:57, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
