Is it enough to commit suicide to have a page on wikipedia? I don't see any articles on wikipedia of two man who committed suicide against the PO. This whole article shouldn't be on wikipedia. Adam Lutostański (talk) 13:03, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently, Mr. Patriot, it is "enough" to commit a suicide in a historical context, just see how English Wikipedia maintains a separate article for such cases. What is going on now on Polish wiki on that matter is a nice example of political play by wiki administrators by the way, which I believe deserves for an article by itself, or at least a mentioning under "Piotr Szczęsny", which is certainly going to be brought back sooner or later.

Contested deletion[edit]

That said, after reviewing the article, I am not convinced that the subject is completely lacking in significance or importance. I question his notability, but I think the better venue for deletion is an Articles for Deletion discussion rather than the speedy deletion process. Delete. This man killed himself, in the name of democracy, to protest a democratically elected government enacting its policies. Please note that Mr. Szczęsny was not an average man, but a member of Mensa International, a man of extremely high intelligence quotient. If after several months of consideration he decided to devote his life, it is because democracy in Poland is seriously threatened and the country is approaching the standards of the Turkish state. Not by chance, Mr. Erdogan has recently visited Warsaw. Maybe , I am naive, but I doesn't see correlation between "Szczęsny was very inteligent" and " because he was very inteligent, his views are correct". Those are two separate things. Even geniuses made mistakes and even geniuses can be wrong.87.206.46.236 (talk) 20:55, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
