Poire Willem[edit]

I've heard this fruit brandy referred to as simply "poire", and as "poire Willem". "Poire" is obviously French. I suspect the average frenchman would struggle to pronounce Williams - maybe something like "weel-yammss".

I suspect I heard the bare "poire" in France, and the "poire Willem" in Germany, but I can't source either. MrDemeanour (talk) 12:46, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
