Pospolite ruszenie → Conscription in Poland – Polish concept that also exists in the English language. No need to Polonize Wikipedia. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 19:26, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose per WP:UE (sic) and WP:RS. The proposed title is misleading, imprecise, and ambiguous; it implies an article about conscription in present-day Poland or throughout Polish history. However, this article is only about a specific type conscription in the Kingdom of Poland and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth from the 13th to the 18th century (though there are two sentences dealing with the 19th and 20th centuries). Furthermore, English sources cited in the article use the term pospolite ruszenie insasmuch as they use any specific term.[1][2][3] Loose translations such as "noble levy",[4] levee en masse[5] or "levy in mass"[6] are also used but usually alongside the Polish term. (The phenomenon, however, does not appear to be referred to simply as "conscription".) Using foreign terms that are used in reliable English sources is perfectly normal in English; pospolite ruszenie is not "Polonizing" Wikipedia any more than using levée en masse or seferberlik for other types of conscription is Frenchifying or Ottomanizing Wikipedia. — AjaxSmack 09:27, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. Only refers to mobilisation in a specific period of Polish history, not conscription in Poland generally. We don't use English at all costs, even when referring to specific proper names in foreign languages.
