Did Waste Tech or any other hazardous waste ash landfill ever get started in Mercer County? Back in 1993 Waste Tech was defeated at the state level at a DNR hearing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.146.181.180 (talk) 18:45, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder if the founders of Princeton, Missouri, came from NJ. See section title for reason for wondering. 204.52.215.107 (talk) 14:32, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently not, but the counties got their names from Hugh Mercer [1], and Princeton was named for the battle that killed him. I am not sure why the town and county were named for Hugh Mercer, though. A Revolutionary War general still had relevance at that time and in the West? 204.52.215.107 (talk) 14:42, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
